1. Android was not found by Google:
Before we get to Android present introduction we should have learn about its past. This is true that Android was not found by Google. It was found by  Andy Rubin, Chris White, Nick Sears and Rich Miner under the umbrella Android Inc. in October 2003. Later in 2005 Google acquired Android Inc. at a price of $50 million. 
2. Google Launched Android in 2007
Though Google acquired Android in 2005 it launched Android officially in 2007 for Cameras. Thus it realize Android as a potential impact on  smartphone market. Therefore Google developer team worked  to serve android os in mobile processors.
3. First Android was developed for Digital Cameras:
Android operating system was developed as a platform for digital cameras.  But Google later changed its focus to smart phones as it saw its potential. So Google decided to go on and adopt Android OS for smartphones which has created a revolution in smartphones as it was widely accepted and easily accessible.
4. Htc-Dream The First Android Smartphone: 
The first smartphone was run with Android was HTC-Dream which was first released in october 2008. It used Android Version 1.0 and could be upgraded to 1.6. But this device was criticized as Nokia Symbian was dominating mobile market with lots of applications.
